Students were asked to prepare a short speech
about a Chinese festival (they can pick one to
talk about). They spoke for about a minute and a
half. They were given an opportunity to receive
feedback on it from a teacher and their
peers. S2 teachers were asked to sign up two
students to present, and another two to act as
audience members and give feedback (using the
feedback sheets provided). As the topics were
given to the students when they signed up, no
preparation time was given on the day of their
sharing. Feedback sheets were given to the
audience on that day.
